MC ART Architecture Founder Melec Çakmak and his wife, successful businessman Umut Çakmak, one of the leading names in the real estate sector, are experts in their field with their success in business life in Austria and their projects in the architecture sector. We talked to the Çakmak Family, who stated that they can live on a boat both summer and winter and that this is a great peace and freedom, about their home and work lives, hobbies and the details of the launch of MC ART Architecture, which will take place on September 9, for Klass readers on their magnificent boat in Bodrum.

Ms. Melec, you are one of the leading names in the architecture industry. First of all, can we get to know you?

M.Ç: I have an architecture office called MC ART in Turkey. We carry out architectural projects with my talented team in Turkey. We have undertaken important projects with my Türkiye team and Sandi Pirs and we continue to do so. As the Çakmak Family, we love Turkey very much. That’s why we want to expand our investment plans here.

So how was MC ART Architecture established? What are you doing now and what are your goals?

MC ART Architecture “The future is not consumed, it is built.” I founded it with the motto: We are an architecture office that offers design and implementation projects in Europe and the Middle East with offices in Istanbul and Vienna. Since 2014, we evaluate everything we do from the perspective of project owners and users and offer them the most accurate solutions. With our team who is extremely talented in project design and implementation; We create timeless and original designs that appeal to aesthetic perception with a creative and innovative perspective. As MC Art Architecture, our mission is; While offering innovative and comfortable spaces, it is to protect people, nature and life by respecting them for a sustainable life. Our biggest goal and vision is; To be a global company that makes a difference with creative, inspiring and trend-setting projects and respects people and the environment. Today, with our many years of experience, we are proud to provide the desired service flawlessly in every project and to give confidence to our business partners.

You said you would expand your investments. Could you elaborate a little more?

We already had an office here and were producing projects. However, now we want to expand these projects and proudly represent our country. That’s why we will organize a big launch on September 9th, and we will bring together the world-famous Slovenian architect Sandi Pirs, whom we have included in our team, with Turkey. We want to bring a very important work to Turkey with him. I specifically chose September 9 because it is also my birthday.

Mr. Umut, can we get to know you too?

Umut Çakmak: I do real estate in Vienna. Like my wife, I am someone who is in love with Turkey. I come to Turkey whenever I get a chance from my work. We are currently on holiday in Turkey, but we are continuing our work for my wife’s big launch.

Mr. Umut, what characteristics of Ms. Melec impressed you?

U.C: Melec impressed me deeply with her intelligence as well as her beauty. Other characteristics that impress me are that he does his job with passion and is knowledgeable in every field. He loves research and has a detail-oriented character. I like these habits very much. I should also especially point out that Melec is a very good mother and a very good wife…

Ms. Melec, what qualities of Mr. Umut were impressed by you?
M.C: Mr. Umut is very detailed and meticulous. He focuses on his job and tries to do it in the best way until he gets results. He does his job properly, he is very careful and has a very meticulous working principle. I am very hyperactive. Hope calms me down because it has the opposite feature. He is always respectful and solution-oriented regardless of how big or small the problem is. He has a very high conscience and is a very good father. He pays attention to family life. How can one not love someone with such beautiful features…

What do you like to enjoy when you are together?

M.C: Our hobbies are always the same. We love marine life very much, and creating solutions together in the field of real estate is indispensable.
U.Ç: I can say that we do everything together and we enjoy it very much. While staying on the boat, we look for land and houses on the internet in the middle of the night and talk about what we can do. Something we are curious about is that no matter what time it is at night, we get up and go and look at the place.

Where does your passion for the Sea and Boats come from?
U.C: We have houses in Istanbul and Bodrum, but we prefer to spend time on the boat in summer and winter. Boat life gives us peace and happiness. If our work and our children’s education were not in Austria, we could live on a boat here. We see being on a boat as being free and we enjoy it.

M.C: We believe in the energy of the sea. We are coming in July and returning in September. I think swimming in the sea and hearing the sound of the waves is one of the most beautiful things in life. The sea makes us feel free and gives peace
